High school letterman jackets are a well-recognized symbol of accomplishment in the area of sports. Lettering in basketball is especially a great honor because only a select group of players are able to receive a letter each year.
Players, below you will find important information regarding ordering and caring for your letterman jacket. On the very bottom, you will find a flyer from C&L Lettering Company who has provided MVHS athletes great customer service throughout the years.
How to create a letterman jacket
Step 1
Creating your own unique custom varsity letterman jacket begins with your personal choice of style. Choose your jacket and style. Most students will select a custom varsity letterman jacket similar to or even identical to other varsity letterman jackets of students in their school. Students make their varsity letterman jacket unique by adding chenille letters, custom patches, embroidery, numbers, mascots, name, and emblems.
-
Step 2
Decide what awards you would like on your custom varsity letterman jacket. Make a list of everything you want on the front, back, and sleeves. Decide if you want chenille names arched up, arched down, or straight. Do you want your school mascot on your custom varsity letterman jacket? In what order do you want items listed? Do you want some custom embroidery on your letterman jacket?
-
Step 3
Chenille Letters
Decide what type of chenille letters you would like to have on your custom letterman varsity jacket. Give considerable thought to designing custom chenille names and letters for your custom varsity letterman jacket. Custom chenille letters will help your jacket stand out from others in your school. Choices include single or double felt background, color of top felt and bottom felt, color of the chenille letters, chenille letter border, font type, and font size.
-
Step 4
Order your custom varsity letterman jacket. Make sure all chenille letters are spelled correctly. Double check that custom items ordered are the way you want them. Pay attention to the details.
-
Step 5
Wait to receive your custom varsity letterman jacket. It often takes up to two or three weeks to receive your jacket after it is ordered. Plan ahead to receive your jacket before the coming of the cold winter months.
